L-com Launches Deluxe-Grade USB Type A Male/Female Cable Line NORTH ANDOVER, MA - 05/23/13 - L-com, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, has released a new, deluxe-grade version of its popular premium USB 2.0 Type A male/female extension cable line. The deluxe version gives customers more choices between power conductor sizes and prices. L-com originally broke its USB 2.0 offering into premium and deluxe grades in 2011 with deluxe versions of its Type A male to Type B male, and Type A male/male cables. They used USB 2.0 compliant bulk cable with 26 AWG power leads and a medium gray colored PVC jacket, and on average they have about 33% lower prices. For comparison, the premium line use 20 AWG power conductors and a lighter gray PVC jacket. "Our customers' reactions to our deluxe USB 2.0 cables were overwhelmingly positive, so we decided to offer even more choices," said Steve Smith, Product Manager. "A simple USB extension cable can be a great solution to short leads on equipment that don't go over the five-meter limit. Now our customers can choose the grade of cable based on their needs." As with the premium grade, L-com will stock the new deluxe-grade cables at its North Andover, MA distribution center for same day fulfillment on orders.
