Description

The PS5656-POE is a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) Injector/Midspan with integral 56VDC, 56 Watt power supply. It provides 56VDC power for multiple* PoE-equipped devices by "Injecting" DC power through the CAT5 Ethernet cable. It is compatible with Access Points and other equipment supporting the IEEE standard PoE pinout (Pins 4 & 5 Power + / Pins 7 & 8 Power -). This unit is ideal for longer PoE Ethernet cable runs since the injected 56VDC helps compensate for voltage lost in the cable due to the longer length.

*The total number of devices that can be powered will depend on the power requirements of each device used.

Compact Size

Since the PS5656-POE is completely self-contained, a separate power supply and injector is not required. Its compact size makes it ideal for crowded equipment enclosures or for use on a desk top.

Built In Protection Circuits

The PS5656-POE feature built in over voltage, over current and short circuit protection. If an overload is detected, the power shuts down automatically; when the overload is cleared, the power is restored.

Note, 3-prong power cord sold separately. See below for power cords available.
