D-SubminiatureAt L-com, we are a global leader of wired and wireless connectivity products, offering a wide range of solutions across many key industries, including electronics, medical, industrial automation, military, and telecom. D-Subminiature ports, used for connecting external devices to a computer are an older method of connection but some modern computers still have them. We offer the most comprehensive catalog of D-Subminiature products in the industry. Our entire range of D-Subminiature products include:
Features on our D-Subminiature cables range from the regular or industry standard to cables with extra cable shielding and reversible hardware feature. While the extra shielding and steel internal enclosure provide maximum protection from EMI/RFI corruption, the reversibility allows cables to be directly panel mounted without the use of an adapter or any other component. We also have an extensive offering of high-density D-Sub cable assemblies, as well as a unique series of heavy-duty D-Sub cable assemblies. These use 20 AWG conductors, the largest conductor any D-Sub connectors can accommodate and is extremely durable in design. The armored/rugged D-Sub assembly is enclosed in a stainless steel crush-resistant jacket over our premium D-Sub braid & foil shielded cable to withstand even excessive force. Popular with military contractors, our LSZH Non-PVC D-Sub cable assembly is typically used in poorly ventilated areas where protecting people and equipment from toxic and corrosive gases is critical. Where space is limited, as in cabinets and enclosures, we offer a choice of right-angle and 45-degree angle D-Sub cables. These have a standard D-Sub connector featured on one end and a right angle (left exit) or a 45 degree (left exit) D-Sub connector on the other. In addition to regular D-Subminiature cables, there are also hard-to-find items such as double-shielded D-Sub cables, panel-mount D-Sub cables and Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacketed D-Sub cables. Our high-density D-Sub connectors utilize more contacts than the standard D-Sub connectors even though the size of the connector shells remains the same. For space-saving requirements, we have ready-to-ship D-sub connectors in angled forms. These can also be customized to suit a specific requirement. L-com’s connectors and adapters, therefore, serve a wide range of applications like data networking, RS-232 serial communications, and testing/measurement needs. Made from ROHS compliant PVC, we also have matching covers that attach easily to the connectors and stay snugly fit. We also have, among adapter, coupler, and splitter category, dual-purpose gender changers that allow mismatched D-Sub connectors to mate, and dual-purpose socket savers that extend durability by taking the abuse of often mated D-Sub connectors. In D-Sub bulk cable, we have plenum hi-temp, LSZH, twisted pair, heavy-duty 20 AWG, 24 gauge multi-conductor and 20 gauge multi-conductor data cables, packed conveniently in 100, 500, and 1,000-foot spools and ready to ship the same day of your order. For highly demanding industrial applications we offer metal and plastic armored D-Subminiature cable assemblies. L-com’s armored D-Subminiature serial cables are used in the manufacturing industry, in factory automation, and chemical and petroleum processing. We have all the products you need to terminate your D-Subminiature cable assemblies whether it is precut heat shrink tubing, cable/wire ties, or copper foil shielding tape. For those who prefer to manage their assembly, we have efficient contact insertion and removal tools, crimp tools, cable cutters, cable strippers, and punches. For testing and diagnosing data communication products, we have DB9 and DB25 D-Sub loopback testers that also come in a Slimline series that is ideal when space is a constraint.
