Fiber Optic Keyed LC Coupler Sub-Panels Allow Network Color Coding

NORTH ANDOVER, MA – 04/27/2011 – L-com, Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of wired and wireless connectivity products, has added secured, keyed, LC adapter sub-panels in multiple colors to its product offering.  The new sub-panels can be used to populate L-com’s fiber patch panel enclosures.

“One of the biggest concerns facing mission-critical fiber optic circuits is connection error, whether intentional or accidental,” said Manuel Martinez, product manager. “Addressing this issue is of significant importance to our customers.”

A key feature of these sub-panels is the color-coded keying options.  Each color code represents a distinct keying option. Only connectors of the same color can be mated to the corresponding colored receptacle.
