L-com Adds DPD Series HyperLink® Dual-Polarized Dish Antennas with High Gain for the 2.4 GHz Band NORTH ANDOVER, MA - 02/04/13 - L-com, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, has introduced a line of MIMO HyperLink® brand dual-polarized parabolic dish antennas for the 2.4 GHz band that offer up to 25 dBi directional gain. The new DPD series includes three options, providing stocked, off-the-shelf choices for installers of these hard-to-find antenna styles. Unique to the industry, these 2.4 GHz dish antennas feature a dual polarity feed system, one for vertically polarized signals and one for horizontally polarized signals. This feature makes them ideal for multiple-in/multiple-out (MIMO)/802.11n and polarization diversity systems. These types of radios transmit and receive over separate polarizations allowing an improvement in communication performance. "Our customers alerted us to the difficulty of finding high-quality and reasonably priced MIMO parabolic dish antennas for the 2.4 GHz band," said Patrick Pesa, Director of Product Development. "We saw this as an opportunity to provide a solution with three new options in a market where few other options exist." The new antennas come complete with integral pole-mounting hardware designed to allow the antenna to tilt up and down, allowing precise aiming.
