L-com Adds Two New Cable Assemblies to Their USB Line

Sunday, July 13, 2008

North Andover, MA · July 14, 2008 -- L-com Connectivity Products announced today that it has added two new USB cable assemblies to their already broad USB line. Both of the new additions use a molded "horizontal panel mount" USB type A female connector on one side. On the other side of the cable is either a USB type A male connector or a 5 pin female header connector.

L-com already carries panel mount USB connectors which includes their widely popular ECF504 series of USB adapters. These new additions mark the first time that L-com has carried a "horizontal panel mount" style where the mounting flanges are on either side of the USB jack, rather than above and below it.

"Supporting USB applications is a priority at L-com," said Steve Smith, Product Manager for the USB line. "We already offer many options of USB cables including different jacket materials, different wire AWG sizes and different connector combinations. Now we are pleased to offer different panel mount styles."

Though new to the lineup, L-com expects these cable assemblies to be stocked in the next few weeks and available for same day shipping.
