L-com Connectivity Products Offers Latching Serial ATA Cable Assemblies

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

North Andover, MA · July 24, 2008 -- L-com Connectivity Products has just released a new series of Latching Serial ATA (SATA) cable assemblies that provide secure connections. Serial ATA cables are replacing wide Parallel ATA ribbon cables in many applications. The Serial ATA cable is smaller, more flexible and therefore easier to route inside a chassis. With the trend toward miniaturization, these characteristics are beneficial in many product designs. These cable assemblies feature two shielded 26 AWG pairs in a PVC jacket, and gold plated contacts. Two versions are offered, one with a straight to straight connector configuration and the other with a straight to right angle connector configuration. In addition to six standard off the shelf lengths, L-com can manufacture custom lengths to meet your specific design requirements.
