L-com Expands USB Connector Offering
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – 2/23/2011 – L-com, Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of wired and wireless connectivity products, has increased USB 2.0 type B connector options with two new styles of its very popular USB ECF coupler/cables. The new ECF504-xxBBS and ECF504-B-5M are similar to the existing ECF504-xxAAS and ECF504-5M products.
“We knew the type A USB versions were wildly popular,” said Steve Smith, Product Manager. “But until now we had no option with the type B USB jack in a flange-mount ECF option. Now we’re offering both as off-the-shelf products.”
The ECF504-xxBBS allows the user to panel-mount the female B connector on their product for easy accessibility and connect the male B connector end securely and easily inside their product. The ECF504-B-5M is used similarly but allows the user to cut the cable pigtail to the desired length and hard-wire or terminate with the connector of choice.
