L-com introduces two new HyperLink brand CAT5e Lightning Surge Protectors

North Andover, MA - September 26, 2008 - L-com Global Connectivity is pleased to announce two new HyperLink brand CAT5e Lightning Surge Protectors to its current protector line.

CAT5 and CAT5e Protection
 
L-com's new CAT5e Lightning Protectors provide superior lightning and surge protection for both indoor and outdoor 10/100 Base-T Ethernet networks. In addition, these units are compatible with 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices. Integral to the design is protection for the four Ethernet data pairs and the PoE DC power feed. These new protectors support PoE mode A and B for power. In addition to being compatible with 802.3af PoE devices, these units also support normal and reverse polarity PoE used in some Cisco Access Points.

Available in two versions, the AL-CAT5EJW features a compact weather resistant housing with lockable hinged cover. For indoor applications the, HGLN-CAT5EJW features an industrial grade cast aluminum housing. Both models provide ground lugs with terminals and feature shielded RJ45 jacks.
