L-com Launches New Plenum Rated, Shielded Cat6 Cable Assemblies with 23 AWG Solid Conductors

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (January 25, 2018) - L-com Global Connectivity, a preferred manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today that it now offers plenum rated shielded Category 6 cable assemblies with 23 AWG solid conductors.

The TRD695SPL series cables were designed for environments where Polyvinyl chloride’s (PVC) combustive toxicity is prohibited. This includes plenum air spaces inside ceilings and walls of buildings. L-com’s TRD695SPL series cables meet the stringent CMP (Plenum) burn rating requirements.

Featuring shielded RJ45 connectors and an aluminized polyester shielded cable with drain wire, these assemblies offer protection against EMI/RFI while maintaining high performance data transmission characteristics.

“These new plenum rated assemblies support stringent building codes by utilizing plenum rated jackets. They offer protection in the event of a fire by limiting the burn time and length compared to PVC cables,” said Dustin Guttadauro, Product Manager.

These new Cat6 plenum rated Ethernet cables are available in off the shelf lengths ranging from one foot to one hundred feet and are in stock and available for immediate shipment.
