L-com Releases Category 5E STP Cables in gray, blue, green, black, red and yellow
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – 5/20/2010 – L-com, Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of wired and wireless connectivity products, has released a new series of shielded Category 5E cables for use in Industrial Ethernet applications where EMI and RFI are present.
This new series features different color options including gray, blue, green, black, red, and yellow. By using different color jackets, identification of attached equipment is made easier.
These robust cables feature stranded 26 AWG conductors for maximum flexibility and aluminized polyester foil shielding to protect data signals from EMI and RFI.
“By adding this new series to our already extensive portfolio of Industrial Ethernet Cat 5e cables, we can better address our customers demand for shielded Cat 5e cable in different colors. Previously we offered different colored jackets as customs, now we can provide these cables off the shelf from 1 foot to 100 feet.” said Peter McNeil, L-com’s Telecom Product Manager.
