L-com Releases Lightning Protectors for AC and DC Control Lines
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – 3/4/10 – L-com Global Connectivity, a leading manufacturer of both wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today the release of new AC/DC Control Line protectors. These high power 3-stage Lightning and Surge protectors, which come in 12V, 24V, and 48V, provide superior protection of control lines from transients and surges.
Like many of L-com’s other Lightning Protectors, these come with removable screw terminal strips for fast and easy setup, and a ground clamp provided on the outside of the enclosure for easy grounding. Each Lightning Protector is able to protect up to 8 individual single ended control lines.
Lightning protectors are designed to protect vulnerable equipment from power surges, like what equipment would experience in a lightning strike. Power surges are an obvious problem in outdoor antenna installations, but they are a growing problem for indoor installations as well. L-com now carries nearly 100 different lightning protectors, and with their custom program they can manufacture special versions, making their offering a one-stop shop for surge protection of every kind.
