L-com Releases New Line of Power Over Ethernet Products
NORTH ANDOVER, MA – 3/30/2010 – L-com, Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today the availability of a new line of Power over Ethernet (PoE) Midspan/Injectors with Integral High-Power Lightning and Surge Protection. These new products allow greater surge protection to enable peripheral items to operate in areas where lightning or power surges are common.
The new PoE line includes these features:
- CAT5e and CAT5 compatibility
- Surge Protection on all lines
- GR-1089 Intra-Building rated
- Available individually or in kits with either 48VDC @ 48W or 48VDC @ 70W power supplies
- Indoor and outdoor versions available
Ken Burgner, L-com’s Product Manager in charge of PoE, said, “We have been making and selling a variety of PoE products for several years now. The standard is no longer new, but that doesn’t mean that there is no room for innovation and increased offerings.
