L-com Renews Its Commitment to US Manufacturing With New Ethernet Assemblies Made Completely in the USA NORTH ANDOVER, MA - 06/10/13 - L-com, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, has released three new lines of Category 5e Ethernet cable assemblies all made completely in its United States manufacturing centers. These new product lines reaffirm L-com's commitment to keep manufacturing domestic as well as abroad. L-com has maintained domestic manufacturing centers since its founding in 1982, but supplements much of its stock with products built in its wholly-owned China manufacturing plant and in other places. In 2006, L-com expanded its US manufacturing operations from its home office to a separate, 13,000 square foot facility nearby. In 2007, L-com acquired HyperLink Technologies in Boca Raton, FL, that operated its own manufacturing facility, which L-com kept open after the acquisition. Since then, both of L-com's US manufacturing plants have maintained busy schedules producing high-quality stock and custom products with short lead times. "Manufacturing in the USA is key in L-com's business model," said David Gallagher, Product Manager. "By creating separate product lines to be specifically manufactured in the United States, we are increasing our commitment to domestic production and short lead times, while also giving our customers and distributors more choices." So far, L-com is offering bootless Category 5e Ethernet cable assemblies with red, black or gray PVC jackets manufactured in the USA for seventeen different lengths. In addition to the stock options, L-com can custom manufacture specific lengths with modest minimum order quantities (MOQ) and short lead times.
